LEGAL INFORMATION
Terms of use.
The terms that apply to this website and our dealings with you.
Last updated:
1. About these terms
This website is operated under the name MyEvent Labs. References to “we”, “us” and “our” mean the business operating as MyEvent Labs. These terms govern use of the website. A purchase, software licence or project engagement is also subject to the terms provided and agreed for that transaction.
The online shop, checkout and customer accounts are not currently open. Browsing the website or sending an enquiry does not place an order, reserve a product or commit either party to a project.
2. Australian consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a right, guarantee or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law. Those rights prevail over any inconsistent term. Consumer protections may also apply to purchases made by a business.
3. Using the website
You may browse the website and use its enquiry facilities for lawful purposes. You must not interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorised access, impersonate another person or use the website to infringe another person’s rights. Information you submit must be accurate to the best of your knowledge, and you must have authority to supply it.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful activity, misuse or a security threat. Any restriction will be proportionate to the circumstances and will not extinguish rights you have under an existing agreement or by law.
4. Website information
Articles, illustrations and descriptions explain our work and provide general information. Their suitability for a particular system, operating environment or project needs to be assessed in context. Please confirm specifications and requirements with us before relying on them for a purchase or implementation.
We take reasonable care with website content and may correct errors or update it. A correction does not change an agreed price, specification or contractual commitment without your agreement. Maintenance and technical faults may interrupt website access.
5. Quotes and project work
Before work begins, the parties should record the contracting entity, scope, deliverables, fees, GST treatment, payment dates, timetable and responsibilities in a written quote or project agreement. That agreement should also address intellectual property, confidentiality, acceptance, support and cancellation. An enquiry alone does not authorise paid work.
Changes to scope, fees or delivery dates require agreement. Neither party may impose additional work or charges merely by changing a document on this website. Any cancellation charge must have a lawful contractual basis and must not be a penalty or override consumer rights.
6. Purchases and software
When products become available, the applicable seller details, price, currency, taxes, delivery costs, availability and purchase terms will be provided before an order is accepted. No payment or recurring charge is authorised by visiting this website.
Our Returns & warranty policy explains how product and service problems are handled. Our Software licensing terms describe the basis on which our software may be licensed. A transaction-specific agreement takes precedence over these general terms to the extent of any inconsistency, subject always to rights that cannot be excluded by law.
7. Intellectual property
Website content, branding and designs belong to MyEvent Labs or their respective owners. You may view, print and save reasonable extracts for personal reference or internal business evaluation, retaining ownership notices. Other reproduction, commercial distribution or use of our branding requires permission unless permitted by law or an applicable licence. Sending an enquiry does not transfer ownership of your material.
8. Privacy and external websites
Our Privacy information explains how we handle information collected through the website. Links to social platforms and other websites are provided for convenience. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices, and their content is controlled by their operators.
9. Responsibility and disputes
Each party remains responsible for its acts and omissions under applicable law. These website terms do not impose an indemnity on you or exclude our liability for negligence, misleading conduct or a breach of a statutory duty.
Please contact us with the details of any concern and the outcome you seek. We will consider it in good faith. You may also seek assistance from Consumer Affairs Victoria or your local consumer protection agency. Contacting us first is not a condition of exercising a legal right or seeking urgent relief.
Victorian law and applicable Commonwealth law govern these terms. Courts in Victoria have non-exclusive jurisdiction. This does not prevent you from bringing a claim in another court or tribunal with jurisdiction, or remove protections that apply where you live.
10. Changes to these terms
Updates will be published here with a revised date and apply to future website use. They do not retrospectively change an existing purchase, licence or project agreement. If a provision is unenforceable, it is severed only to the extent necessary; the remaining provisions continue where they can operate independently.
