YOUR PRIVACY

Privacy information.

This page explains how MyEvent Labs handles personal information when you browse this website or contact us.

Information we collect

When you submit a project enquiry, we collect your name, email address, optional company name, area of interest and message. When you submit product feedback, we collect your first name, last name, email, the product and type of report, subject, details, optional screenshots, and (for bug reports) the environment note you enter. If you email us directly, we receive the information you choose to include in that correspondence.

Website hosting and monitoring services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages requested and request times to deliver and protect the site. Feedback submissions also attach the browser User-Agent and a simple OS family to the internal issue, to help reproduce a bug. The submission’s IP address and location are not stored on that issue; the IP address is used only transiently to limit abusive submissions. Please do not send passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information through the enquiry or feedback forms.

How we use information

  • Respond to enquiries and discuss your project or requested services.
  • Maintain relevant correspondence and follow up on your requests.
  • Operate the website, understand usage and improve performance.
  • Prevent spam and misuse, and meet applicable legal obligations.

Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails. Accounts, orders and checkout are not currently available, and this website does not collect payment information.

Service providers and sharing

We use service providers to support website hosting, email delivery and abuse prevention. Vercel provides hosting and, on Vercel deployments, the Web Analytics and Speed Insights described below. Google, Metricool and PostHog provide the other analytics services described below. When the enquiry form is enabled, Resend processes its contents to deliver your message to our inbox. Public feedback is filed as an internal Linear issue. Cloudflare Turnstile is used on the enquiry and feedback forms to reduce automated abuse. When mail delivery is configured, Resend may send a short feedback acknowledgement to the address you provide.

Spam prevention uses a hashed version of your email address and submission counters. If shared rate limiting is configured, these are processed by Upstash Redis, with counters expiring after one hour. The hash is not the raw email address, but it is still linked to that address.

Providers may process information outside Australia. Their processing locations and retention practices depend on the service and its configuration. Information may also be disclosed where required by law.

Analytics and browser storage

The live site uses a small number of analytics services to understand which pages are useful and how the site performs. They load only after you accept the consent banner, only on the production site, and never in local or preview builds. Declining keeps them off; change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s stored data. Each service can process the pages you view, your browser and device information, and a coarse location derived from your request, and they may set analytics cookies.

  • Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights are included on Vercel deployments to understand website visits and real-user performance. Learn more in Vercel’s Web Analytics privacy information and Speed Insights privacy information.
  • Google Analytics 4 measures page views, product page views and download clicks, so we can see which pages and products are used. Google derives an approximate location from the request. See Google’s privacy policy.
  • Metricool records site visits. See Metricool’s privacy policy.
  • PostHog, when configured, records one anonymous event when you click a download on a product page. The event carries the product tag, the file type, the page URL and an anonymous identifier for that page view; it never includes your name or email. PostHog adds an approximate country and city from the request. There is no session replay and no automatic capture of other clicks. See PostHog’s privacy policy.
  • MyEvent Labs telemetry records anonymous page views and clicks for our own dashboard at dashboard.myevent-labs.io. An event carries a coarse page or action name (for example shop_product or hero_discuss_project), the product tag, a random anonymous id and a per-visit session id, the time, and the fixed values web and other for platform and architecture. It never carries a URL, your name, your email, an IP address or a device fingerprint. The dashboard is restricted with Cloudflare Access.

Your light or dark appearance preference is saved in your browser’s local storage under myevent-theme, and your analytics consent choice under myevent-consent. After you accept, the anonymous telemetry id is kept under mel.anonymous_id and a per-visit id under mel.session_id. You can remove all of them by clearing this website’s stored data in your browser. This site does not load advertising scripts or embedded social feeds.

Storage, retention and security

Enquiries are delivered by email; the website does not maintain a customer account database. Copies of correspondence may remain in email systems and provider records. Retention depends on the purpose of the correspondence and applicable legal requirements; the one-hour spam-prevention window does not delete your enquiry.

Feedback filed as an internal issue is reviewed after the issue is closed and removed or anonymised within 90 days.

Technical protections include server-side form validation and submission limits. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and requests

You can browse without submitting an enquiry. If you choose not to provide contact details, we may be unable to respond to your request. You can ask about the personal information held about you, request a correction, or ask for deletion by contacting us below. Requests depend on applicable law and any requirements to retain records; we may need to verify your identity before acting.

Privacy questions and complaints

Email hello@myevent-labs.io with any privacy question, request or complaint. Please describe your concern and how we can contact you. If your concern is not resolved, you can seek guidance from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner about any complaint options available to you.
